I just do. Somewhere between a mountain bike, new summer tires, various rock climbing equipment, and tons of other little things, there needs to be an alfa in my life.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yah that's what I said. So I got one. Its the most wonderful thing to drive (my '76 Spider is much more fun overall to drive than the F430 Spider I drove once for 10 min). However it's only the most wonderful thing ever when everything works. My starter motor went out today, finally. This means I'll be towing it to the shop ASAP to get that fixed. Along with a heap of other things. What i CAN say is this: Do a PPI!!!!! Make sure you are getting one that is in good mechanical order and has no to minimal rust. Or else you'll end up feeling quite let down with no way to get to work in the morning... * sigh* .

Well I have a second car and like tinkering with stuff. Definitely would want to get a well sorted one though. All the nice ones that I want are way to expensive for me right now though. Hopefully now that I have a steady job/income I can figure out some finances to save for one in a few years

That's like saying, there needs to be an insanely hot, insane, wo(man) in your life. My old, old experiences from the 80's of Alfa-ness is you get one if you need 'higher highs, and lower lows' in your life. I stayed more mellow. Old fuddy duddy that I am.
Now.. there *is* one thing that still gives me a stiffy [sic], and that is the raft of fucking tools (unless you're independently wealthy) you'll need to keep that baby running tip top, plus the epoxy floor, A/C, lights and cabinets. And I Like Tools, A Lot. So.. there is that.

This is how I've felt for the 6 months too. All the ones I really like (GTV, GT junior) are so damn expensive though!

I wish. I've got a 156 V6, which has a 24v version of the GTV6's engine. It's a great car, but not RWD.
I came very close to buying a project GTV6 with a 3.3l Autodelta engine, but I thought I should finish the Spitfire first.
